Question by Matt M: How does facebook come up with friend suggestions?
Facebook says:
Suggestions is a feature that helps you connect with people and Pages you are likely to know. Facebook calculates Suggestions based on the networks you are a part of, mutual friends, work and education information, contacts imported using the Friend Finder, and many other factors.
Facebook keeps giving me a friend suggestion of this girl from Germany. She is almost always my number one suggestion which appears on my wall. We have no mutual friends, work and education information. I'm confused at why facebook keeps suggesting her. Her profile was public and she was not in any common groups and she wrote everything in Turkish. Anyone know what these mysterious "many other factors" means? Probably not, thought I'd ask anyway.
She is not a fan of anything and is not in any groups.
