Example: Kylie Minogue's album X was a flop in the U.S. yet it earned a Grammy nomination in 2009 for Best Electronic/Dance Album.
Corinne Bailey Rae's songs: Put Your Records On + Like a Star did not fare as well in the United States yet it earned Grammy nominations for Record of the Year + Song of the Year.
